1. What’s the best time of day for photos in Kauaʻi?

The best light is almost always at sunrise or sunset — softer, warmer, and more flattering. Midday sun is harsh in Hawaiʻi, so I guide clients toward early morning or golden hour whenever possible.

2. What should we wear for a Kauaʻi beach photoshoot?

Neutral tones work best with the island’s colors — whites, creams, tans, soft blues, soft yellows, olive, and rust. Avoid busy color saturated patterns and neon colors. Flowy dresses look great with ocean wind. We probably going to dip our feet in the ocean so no shoes and if you don't mind, no smart watches (electronics don't age well ☺️) I personally prefer no watches or analog classic watches.  I offer outfit guidance to all clients once booked. 

3. What happens if it rains?

Kauaʻi weather changes fast, and light rain is normal. If it becomes unsafe or too heavy, we can wait it out, reschedule, or cancel. I’m flexible and always work with you to get beautiful photos regardless of conditions. There are no fees for weather reschedulings or cancellations. 

4. Can you suggest locations?

Absolutely. I shoot all over Kauaʻi and can recommend locations based on the look you want — beaches, cliffs, jungles, waterfalls, or something more private. Popular spots include Shipwreck, Hanalei, Anini, and Poʻipū.

5. How many edited photos do we receive?

All sessions include a guaranteed minimum (please refer to the package description), but I always deliver more whenever possible. You’ll receive fully edited, high-resolution images in a private online gallery with full download, printing, and sharing rights.

6. How long does it take to get our photos?

My turnaround time is usually 7–14 days. During busier seasons, it may be closer to 2–3 weeks, but I always deliver as quickly as possible without compromising quality.

7. Do you retouch the photos?

Yes — all delivered images are professionally edited for color, exposure, skin tones, and overall look. I keep skin natural and flattering. If you think you'll need additional detailed retouching or body modifications, please let me know before booking. 

8. Can extended families book a session together?

Yes! I photograph large families and multi-generation groups all the time. I’ll guide you through combinations, poses, and timing so everyone looks great and the session stays organized and fun.

9. We’ve never done a photo session before. Will you help us pose?

Definitely. Most of my clients have never been in front of a camera. I give simple directions and prompts to help you look natural, relaxed, and connected — no stiff or awkward “stand here and smile” stuff.

10. What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Life happens — especially on vacation. If you need to reschedule due to weather or unforeseen issues, I’m flexible and will work with you as long as I have availability. No rescheduling or cancellation fees.
